We were shopping for a car a year ago. Our requirement was to have big enough vehicle for the highways and small enough to drive in the city traffic. As we all know, Hyderabad is one of the cities branded as being notorious for the traffic. We visited few dealerships, we were looking for a SUV, Toyota and Mahendra had good ones but they are bit huge. We closed in on Nissan Duster, it looked ideal and had elegant look. We were to put in the deposit, one of my cousin's mentioned about the Ford Echo Sport. We thought we would take a look and went to the dealership (I do regret the decision now). My wife liked it and pretty soon I liked it too. It looked neat, cool design, safety features were good, especially six air bags. We booked the vehicle, this was at Vibrant Ford in Hyderabad. We wanted Mars red color and were willing to wait for 2-3 months. That was the wait time they told us. One thing to mention about this vehicle was that it was advertised around 6 Lakhs but by the time we were done, we are paying 11.5 Lakhs. I never saw or heard this before. Any how, we were happy that we could make a selection at last and excited about the car.
